The isometric action role-playing game Last Epoch has launched its fifth season “Wrath of the Iceborn”, which brings a new random event “Wrath of Moditus”. It appears in the campaign and Monolith starting in Chapter 2, and challenges players to eliminate as many enemies as possible within a limited time. Kills reward you with Blood Fury Charges, and each charge grants a random buff from 28 options.
After 200 kills, the second phase of the challenge begins. Moditas creates a bloody ice rink where all previously destroyed opponents are resurrected and attack the hero. Victory unlocks rewards that can be upgraded through Bloodrage Charges. These include special items with ice and blood potential that can only be found in this event.
This season also introduces Moditas himself as the new boss. After completing relevant challenges, special echoes will be unlocked, and the final battle will begin in the “Circle of Frozen Blood”. The boss’s rage increases with each enemy defeated, increasing the difficulty and reward of completing three connected Echoes. After defeating Moditus, 400 points of Corruption are required to obtain the highest level of Braided Echoes, the Demigod Ascension.
In addition to seasonal content, the developers have also added 16 new unique items and two sets of suits, as well as three new skills. Another notable change is the redesign of the Merchant Guild. The interface now features suggested prices based on previous sales, automatic cost reduction of displayed items, and additional filters by affix. Ring of Destiny also gets a new oracle system with four slots, reward type selection, and lenses that can change the frequency of receiving charges and the properties of loot.
