The GTA 6 map will be so large that Rockstar developers don’t even want to show all its corners to players as part of the story campaign. According to Rupert Humphreys, SVP of Narrative, the story will only take users authentically through key locations, but to fully explore Leonidas – a world the studio says will be twice the size of GTA 5 – players will have to embark on their own journey.
Meanwhile, Rockstar North co-head Aaron Garbutt assured that the massive world won’t become an empty sandbox. The studio paid great attention to handcrafted details, roofs, alleys and an unprecedented number of interior decorations. In addition, players will discover a developed ecosystem with dynamic weather such as tropical storms and more than nine dozen animals and birds.
