Ulefone, a company that makes secure mobile devices, shows off an app All-round Sentinel Powered by artificial intelligence. With this app, a compatible rugged smartphone can act as a security camera. The camera can detect, record and playback footage, unleashing the full hardware potential of mobile devices.
All-round Sentinel Can work on both outdoor and indoor devices. It enables users to monitor nature, tourist campsites, garages, driveways or yards. The smartphone is mounted in a way that allows you to monitor an area, instantly observe and study previously captured material.
The artificial intelligence algorithms underlying the application are processed locally on the device. The technology can identify people, vehicles, animals, and classify and label various events. The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted to adapt the camera to specific shooting conditions. Alerts available: When activity is detected, the app generates a preset sound signal.
To make it easier to view specific events, Omni Sentinel features a color-coded timeline. You can filter recordings by category and jump to key moments, such as the appearance of a car or animal in the frame. Supports multiple recording modes: manual, timed, AI triggered, and background. This improves the efficiency of solving various monitoring problems.
The recordings made are stored in the smartphone’s built-in memory. They can also be stored on a microSD memory card if supported by the device. Ulefone talks about only storing data locally, without uploading to the cloud or purchasing a subscription to a cloud service.
You can use the touch screen to view and manage recordings. The app takes full advantage of the camera’s hardware capabilities, supporting up to 4K recording and night vision. If your smartphone has an infrared lens, you can shoot in black and white in the dark. The app can be used on outdoor devices thanks to the rugged smartphone’s high-capacity battery and rugged casing. Specific features of camera, battery and protection level depend on the smartphone model selected.
Omni Sentinel is already available as part of system updates for many Ulefone devices, including the Armor 30, Armor 24 Pro, and Armor 22 Pro. This list will be expanded in the near future.
Complete information and a list of currently supported smartphones and those that will be supported by the app in the future can be found on the official page All-round Sentinel.
