If you launch the game on Steam without a pre-linked NCSoft profile, a hidden “dummy” account will be automatically created. Attempting to manually unlink or switch login methods (e.g., via Twitch Drops or phone number) will result in a complete loss of access tied to the digital dialer.
Recovering lost content is not always possible: if changes to the authorization method can still be rolled back in settings, a disconnected Steam account must be restored via official NCSoft support.
