According to Thrustmaster, the development of TGT III follows Kazunori Yamauchi’s Visioncreator of the Gran Turismo series. One of the key features is a new engine architecture called “Direct Shaft Drive”, which the company says is inspired by technology used in state-of-the-art high-performance supercars.
The system also integrates Harmony technology and high frequency force feedbackintroducing specific tactile effects into the game through the steering wheel. Thrustmaster mentions two features in particular: Gear Jolt, which is supposed to allow you to physically feel gear changes, and Engine Roar, which is designed to make the steering wheel frame resonate with engine speed.
The company has also ensured that TGT III will continue to receive updates and support related to Gran Turismo 7.
