Developers from the Embark studio have released a large-scale update Frozen Trail for their evacuation shooter Arc Raiders. The update added a photo mode to the game, the largest map, new enemies and weapons, as well as many other changes.

The key content addition of the patch is the snow-covered map “Pendola Pass”. The developers call it the most difficult location with a large difference in heights and dynamic events. Of the latter, the atmospheric weather condition—frost—is specifically mentioned.
The iconic object on the map is the fallen “Emperor”, one of the largest robot arches in the game. Those raiders who can get inside the giant machine and overcome all obstacles will gain access to the rarest technologies.
The Frozen Trail patch added the ability to build a ground shelter for a controlled raider. Players can equip such a house with various modules and decorate its interior with pieces of furniture. It will also be possible to install the most powerful modifications for weapons there.
Access to the photo mode will open if the gamer takes a new item with him to the surface – a compact camera. When shooting, you will be able to adjust the zoom, aperture, and manual or automatic focus. A selfie mode with unique emotions is available, and all photos will be saved in the in-game codex.
IN description The update contains detailed information about new enemies, special modifications for existing weapons and several new guns. The authors also redesigned the system of battle passes, which now have free and paid parts. Let us remind you that all items from the first three passes (they were called “Decks”) could be obtained for free.
On the occasion of the release of Frozen Trail, the developers of Arc Raiders have opened temporary free access to the game: from October 8 to October 12, anyone will be able to evaluate the innovations of the patch. Against the backdrop of the peak online shooter promotion on Steam overcame mark of 123 thousand users, although in the previous few months it did not exceed 50 thousand.
Arc Raiders was released on October 30, 2025 on PC (Steam And EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. On the Valve service, the basic edition of the game costs 3,220 rubles, but until October 15 it can be purchased with a 50% discount (1,610 rubles).
