Analyst Rhys Elliott from Alinea Analytics has published a report on estimated sales of EA Sports FC 27. The specialist claims that since its release on September 25, the football simulator has sold 7.9 million copies on PC and consoles, making it the most financially successful game of the year. This brought Electronic Arts revenue of $714.1 million.

The PS5 console predictably became the absolute leader in sales (together with PS4, Sony platforms accounted for more than 77% of the entire audience). The figures for Xbox and Steam turned out to be much more modest – about 16% and 7%, respectively. According to the analyst, fans bought up more than half of the total circulation during the early access stage (held from September 18 to 25). However, overall franchise revenues increased by 14% compared to last year’s EA Sports FC 26.
The main market for the football simulator was France, which brought the publisher $82.5 million, followed by the USA and Great Britain. The researcher also drew attention to the rapid decline in revenue from last-generation consoles: versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One generated only 12% of total revenue. Elliott attributes this to the fact that gamers are switching en masse to current gaming devices before the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
