Yandex announced a decision to limit some of the functions of Yandex 360, including the Disk cloud storage, in order to reduce the load and maintain the functionality of servers after damage to the infrastructure from drone attacks.

“We deliberately limited some of the functions of Yandex 360, including Disk, in order to preserve the main thing – the functionality of the services,” – said the resource RBC in the company.
The Yandex press service explained the introduction of restrictions by the need to reduce the load on servers in order to maintain “basic operating scenarios”. “Our team continues to work to ensure that all service capabilities become available”they said.
Yandex has reportedly disabled the ability to mass download files in the web version of Disk. Also currently unavailable to users:
- downloading one or more folders;
- simultaneous downloading of several files;
- album download;
- “Download all” button when following a public link (you can select a separate file and download it).
The company noted that the software can still download both files and folders, if available. RBC confirmed that files cannot be opened in the Disk application, although it is quite possible to download a separate file.
As a result of UAV attacks, the company’s data centers in the city were damaged Sasovo Ryazan region, Kaluga and Vladimir. Against the backdrop of damage to the company’s AI infrastructure, a large-scale failure was recorded in the Runet.
