Despite their greatness in the realm of single-player games, Sony is not “lucky” enough when we talk about multiplayer and live-service games. Some of their products in the past, such as Predator: Hunting Ground for example, ended in big failures. Attempts to encourage this strategy by purchasing Bungie Studios and the Destiny franchise they oversee have also so far not shown significant improvements. Who would have thought that in a situation like this, it would be games from indie developers that would end up pushing Sony's name as a publisher. That's right, we're talking about Arrowhead Studios and its latest game – Helldivers 2. The success of which has given rise to certain rumors.
What rumors? It's true that the success achieved by Arrowhead via Helldivers 2 finally attracted Sony to acquire them. Having spread in cyberspace with questionable sources, this rumor was immediately “killed” by the CEO of Arrowhead himself – Pilestedt. He emphasized that this news was a lie, including about the typical Sony acquisition wallpaper which he said was wrong because it still used the old Arrowhead logo from 2008. For now, he confirms Arrowhead's position as an indie studio!
This is fake… Unless I’ve missed something 🤔
Also, a really shitty old logo from 2008 or so when we just started the studio.

Arrowhead itself does plan to continue pushing content and supporting Helldivers 2, which will apparently be presented in the form of more large-caliber war machines in the future. What do you think? Should Sony buy Arrowhead in the future?
