What happens when you unleash the studio behind the brilliant Ori series into the dark, brutal world of Soulslikes? Judging by the new showcase for No Rest for the Wicked: one of the coolest looking games of the year!
Competition for Diablo? No Rest for the Wicked is shown in the gameplay showcase
With No Rest for the Wicked, Moon Studios wants to combine the popular Soulslike gameplay with the isometric perspective of a classic ARPG, similar to what titles like Achilles: Legends Untold have already tried to do.
In the accompanying gameplay showcase, the developers show, among other things, the open class system, the various abilities and some of the game's weapons. In addition, we also get a first insight into the crafting system and building houses, because in No Rest for the Wicked players can set up their accommodation according to their wishes.
The gameplay looks wonderfully powerful in a Soulslike style, the bosses are extremely threatening and the world presents itself in the well-known dark fantasy look. The whole thing is harmoniously presented from the isometric perspective and you really feel like throwing yourself into the fray. It's no wonder that users were thrilled with the gameplay shown.
No Rest for the Wicked is scheduled to enter early access on April 18th of this year. The developers have also already shared a roadmap with updates that they plan to release during the Early Access phase.
