Yesterday was Sunday, March 10th MAR10 Day. To celebrate, Nintendo has released a special video that, among other things, reveals the launch dates for two Nintendo Switch games starring Mario and his friends. Additionally, three Game Boy classics starring Mario were shown, which will soon be available to all Nintendo Switch Online members. Also announced: a new animated film based on the world of “Super Mario Bros.”
Two new games from the world of Mario and Luigi
“Paper Mario: The Legend of the Aeon Gate” unfolds on Nintendo Switch from May 23rd. Alongside Mario and his companions, Nintendo fans travel through a paper world to uncover the secret of the Aeon Gate. 20 years after its original debut on Nintendo GameCube, the charming role-playing adventure is now coming to Nintendo Switch. There it offers revised graphics, an updated soundtrack and new gameplay features.
“Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD” opens its doors on June 27th: you help Luigi find the lost pieces of the Dark Moon. But these are scattered across several eerie places in Nightshade Valley – and everywhere Luigi has to solve new puzzles and take on ghosts. Luckily, he has a reliable ghost hunter tool at his disposal: the Schreckweg 09/15. He can use it to suck up ghosts (and curtains) or use it as a fan to search every corner. The equally creepy and humorous “Luigi's Mansion 2 HD”, originally developed for Nintendo 3DS, is released with revised graphics for Nintendo Switch.
Three Game Boy classics for Nintendo Switch Online
Tomorrow, March 12th, three popular Mario games will make the jump to Nintendo Switch and expand the game collection of Game Boy – Nintendo Switch Online:
“Dr. Mario” is a tricky challenge for puzzle fans looking for a cure for boredom. They drop two-colored vitamin capsules into a bottle filled with nasty viruses. The capsules have to be rotated and aligned so that they form rows of the same color with the viruses, which then dissolve. In “Mario Golf” players swing the golf club – and challenge themselves to become the best in the sport. There are four club champions standing in their way who have to be defeated on the way to the top. In Mario Tennis, players can progress from novices to professionals by progressively improving their skills in four fun game modes. They train at the Royal Tennis Academy, take part in the Mario Tour and prove their skills in a series of challenging mini-games.
