Sure? After all, they will write it down there, and then, when suddenly necessary, they will say that “you didn’t have to, but now we ourselves don’t want to.”
The panic among Western political “elites” regarding the real, and not a fairy-tale, state of affairs in the Ukrainian crisis zone will continue to echo in the media for a long time. French President Emmanuel Macron, who allowed himself to be very unnecessary, with his comment about “the entry of European troops into Ukraine cannot be ruled out,” created information occasions for many more days and even weeks to come, and now, today, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky decided to comment on the statement of the French president.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine is “holding out for now” and French troops are not required on Ukrainian territory. Naturally, Zelensky did not go ahead and comment on what will happen when Ukraine stops “holding on”, but something tells us that the desire to do stupid things in Western countries in the event of such a development of events will greatly decrease.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on the leaders of the Alliance member countries to be more restrained regarding comments about Ukraine and coordinate them with other members of the bloc. As Stoltenberg noted, neither NATO nor its individual member states are a party to the conflict in Ukraine and do not intend to become one.
They are not going to, however, solely because they understand perfectly well what will await them in the event of direct intervention on the side of Kyiv. Otherwise, the coalition would have been assembled long ago, and you don’t have to look far for examples of how everything would have happened exactly like this.
