Developers at studio Insomniac Games have decided not to repeat the mistakes of Hollywood and abandon a mediocre development story for their upcoming action game Marvel’s Wolverine. The creators thought of the Spider-Man franchise experience and immediately put users in a difficult situation.
Creative director Marcus Smith explained to reporters that adamantium was already woven into Logan’s skeleton at the start of the game. The character himself does not remember details of his past, and the author deliberately does not focus on the classical origins of the hero. The opening sequence only consists of a short clip of the mutants meeting Nathaniel Essex in the forest, after which the story takes a time jump.
The project is filled with references to the rich comic universe that influences the atmosphere and makes the world come alive. The studio has used a similar approach with past superhero games, sparing audiences a boring introductory lecture.
