Emulation enthusiasts continue to flock to the PlayStation 4 console’s library. A video has appeared on the Unreal Gaming YouTube channel, showcasing the release of one of the most beautiful platform exclusives – cinematic action game The Order: 1886 – on PC using a special branch of the shadPS4 emulator.
Test components based on an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card showed encouraging results, but they were still far from ideal. In the opening scene, the game’s performance exceeded 200 frames per second in places at 1080p resolution. However, when entering the opening panorama of neo-Victorian London, the counter dropped to 60-84 FPS, accompanied by noticeable shader compilation stuttering and graphical artifacts. At the same time, the graphics card and processor are not fully loaded, indicating an internal bottleneck in the simulation. Still, the steady release of The Order: 1886 is a big step forward for the community, which has already made impressive progress adapting Bloodborne.
Previously, Gravity World also received a similar simulator-specific version.
