Most major publishers make remakes and remasters of their titles, sometimes very old ones, sometimes relatively new ones. For example, Sony remade The Last of Us, but Uncharted is rumored to be getting the same treatment.
For Benson Russell, the designer of the first two Uncharted games, there’s no point in remaking the original game if it’s still part of the “cultural zeitgeist.” In his opinion, the idea of remaking Drake’s Fortune is a rather useless exercise.
