Studio Wildcard has announced that the official servers for Ark: Survival Evolved on Nintendo Switch will be shutting down. The online platform will be shut down on August 31, 2026, after which game owners will not be able to connect to the official infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Ark: Survival Evolved itself will remain available. Players will remain in single-player mode, and unofficial servers will continue to operate. This decision applies to both the original version and Ark: Ultimate Survivor Edition.
The Switch version was released in November 2018 and was criticized at launch for poor graphics. Later updates improved the visuals, and in 2022 a remaster from Grove Street Games appeared.
According to Studio Wildcard statistics, more than 1 million players have visited the official servers. Online support on Switch has now ended.
