Bethesda is preparing another update for Fallout 4, which is expected to be released on August 18th. It seems like a small patch for an old game shouldn’t generate much interest, but this time the developers are warning players ahead of time of the possible consequences.
Bethesda recommends opening an old save and manually saving the current mod load order before running the patch. This will allow you to reload your entire creation list after the update is released. Players fear that yet another tampering with the decade-old RPG will once again lead to glitches and incompatibilities in popular tools, including F4SE. This is a particularly painful topic for the community: previous Fallout 4 updates have broken modifications multiple times, forcing authors to wait for fixes.
On social media, fans’ reaction to the news was lukewarm. Many believe that Bethesda is once again at risk of breaking a lot of user-generated content because not everyone wants to make changes. For a large portion of the audience, mods are still the main reason for returning to Fallout 4 after so many years.
It looks like history may be repeating itself in Skyrim. Bethesda has confirmed it is preparing an update for the game and promised to reveal details later. Players are even more worried about this news, as the new patch could break revised missions, graphical improvements, and other elements of custom builds.
