The developers of “Among Us” have announced the game’s roadmap for the second half of 2026. By the end of the year, the team plans to add two new characters, interface improvements, new cosmetic sets, and other collaborations, while continuing to develop the story-driven game Among Us Story: On Guard.
The developers will release one of the two new characters next month. There are currently no details about her abilities. The team is conducting additional testing to ensure the new characters are not too powerful and interact correctly with existing mechanics.
As new characters appear, a tournament information guide will also appear in the game. It should make it easier to keep track of current game settings, including selected characters and their spawn percentages. This is especially true considering the further expansion of the character list.
Before the end of the year, Among Us will also receive a new Cosmic Cube with cosmetics. The developers haven’t revealed their theme, but are encouraging players to come up with ideas for future series. Among the options that have been discussed by players themselves, the team has mentioned continuing the setting in the style of an indie game and possibly partnering with Ace Attorney, but has made no commitments on this. There will also be more joint events with other franchisees before the end of the year. Again, specific partners have not been disclosed.
Development continues on the single-player story game Among Us Story: On Guard. After announcing and demoing the demo, the team received a lot of feedback from players and is currently preparing for the game’s release. The developers promise that players will have to travel to the MIRA headquarters simulator to try to prove their innocence while also finding out who the real traitor is.
