In the world of “Towards the Middle Ages”, after the plague, it becomes increasingly difficult to survive alone. In the next major update, faction relations will get a new dimension: players will not only be friends or enemies with their neighbors, but also make specific deals with them.
Negotiations can take place once the caravan reaches another faction’s settlement. Depending on the relationship, you can request military support to protect your home, request a detachment to attack, escort a caravan, or seek peace. Each service will have its own validity period and the price will be directly related to the size of the assistance. Some factions will demand resources, others will demand the return of prisoners, and some will send players to deal with bandits or enemy squads.

But diplomacy can also have the opposite effect. Factions will be able to independently send ambassadors and proposals to player settlements. You can accept or reject them, and if you agree, you can choose the reward you want. Developers expect the system to add more side quests, surprises, and reasons for factions to interact with each other. The changes don’t end there – new details are promised to be revealed within the week.
