Actor Vin Diesel has announced that filming on Fast Forever, the final installment (part 11) of the cult racing series Fast Forever, will begin in December 2026, if the studio can complete all preparations. The film is scheduled to premiere on March 17, 2028.
Speaking to Variety at a special screening marking the 25th anniversary of the first film, Diesel said the script took four years to prepare, with four teams of writers taking turns creating the text. According to the actor, the final version of the story moved him to tears. Meanwhile, the project’s director, Louis Leterrier, admits that he has not yet had time to familiarize himself with the finished text, although he hopes that the work will continue successfully.
The “Fat and Furious” franchise remains Universal’s highest-grossing and longest-running project, with global box office revenue of $7.3 billion.
