In June, the resurrected Volga brand cars began to be sold in Russia with great fanfare, and its “donor” was the Chinese brand Geely Automobile. Considering that no one stopped selling “originals”, it is logical to assume that the hopes of Nizhny Novgorod residents were only partially justified, and therefore, according to the agency “Automatic statistics”as new Volgas go on sale, everything is not very convincing.

Autostat quoted information from PPK JSC as showing that as of July this year, only 573 Volga brand cars had been sold. In this case, it is not entirely clear what the term “as of July” means, so we assume that we are talking about the period from the start of sales – June 19th – to the end of July (inclusive), without taking into account sales in August, which is about to end.
Oddly enough, buyers are most interested in the older model in the range – the Volga K50 crossover (Geely Monjaro): of the above-mentioned volume, it accounts for 45% of sales. 42% of sales were from the Volga K40 (Geely Atlas) crossover, and the remaining 13% were from the Volga C50 (Geely Preface) sedan.
By region, the sales leaders are Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod region, St. Petersburg, Moscow region and the Republic of Tatarstan: together they account for about 60% of total Volga car sales.
