Ember from the Uncrowned King team spoke about the first noticeable changes after the demo. The developers carefully studied player feedback and decided to focus on the two aspects that most impact the combat experience: camera and controls.
The camera has been completely rebuilt so it doesn’t stick to walls, objects and environmental elements during combat. The developers want to maintain an overview of what’s going on and eliminate situations where characters or important parts of the battle suddenly appear behind obstacles. At the same time, the rotation of the camera will also change: the keyboard will no longer control the right mouse button, but will become a standard option, and in the settings you can choose the most convenient method. We’ve also fixed an unpleasant bug that caused the cursor to move after rotation, sometimes resulting in unexpected clicks.

These changes also affect movement. Players will be able to select their mouse and keyboard independently, and the settings will be saved in their account and transferred to another computer. If the game controller is suddenly turned off during gameplay, control will automatically switch to the keyboard. Finally, the developers are speeding up the reactions of dodge and dash so that the transition from normal attacks to these moves feels smoother.
All of the above changes are still in development and may still change. The team promises to continue discussing the development of the project and consider community feedback as it develops Dark Fantasy World.
Will you continue to wait for the game after the trial is over, or will you put the project on hold “for later”?
