The company Mediaslovo, with the support of Roscosmos, has started filming the six-episode fantasy series “Through the Thorns to the Stars”, based on the famous novel “The Village” by Kir Bulychev. This project is produced exclusively for Kinopoisk Online Cinema.
The story takes place in the year 2234 on a harsh undeveloped planet where the surviving people ended up living after a starship crashed. Years pass and the survivors adapt to the harsh environment, but in order to be saved, they desperately need to connect with their home planet. Meanwhile, another spacecraft arrives in orbit, searching for worlds suitable for colonization.
The director and writer chair is held by Karina Chuvikova, best known for her work on “The Chemistry Between Us” project. The cast of this large-scale drama includes such artists as Denis Shvedov, Maria Andreeva, Alexandra Bodych, Sergey Gilev, Polina Zyganova and other artists.
