According to Insider Gaming, game videos and basketball mini-games are compressed using the FFmpeg 6.1 codec released in November 2023. Well-known insider NateTheHate also confirmed that the leaked material dates back more than a year and has nothing to do with the upcoming official show.
However, the massive incident has once again drawn attention to Rockstar Games’ security measures ahead of a joint launch event with Netflix later this month.
