Publisher Bethesda Softworks has announced a major fall update for Fallout 76 called “The Slasher,” which will add a creepy storyline to the game involving a small Slasher wannabe. Players will investigate clues, dig up unmarked graves, and battle crazed zealots across Appalachia to earn a unique suit of power armor and the new “Super Slasher” weapon.
The main technical innovation will be the long-awaited optimization patch for ninth-generation consoles (Xbox Series X/S and PS5), which improves frame rates, stability and graphics quality. In addition, the update will bring the Legacy Seasons system, allowing you to return to old seasons, as well as the long-awaited ability to customize legendary modifications for more than 80 unique signature weapons in the wasteland.
