New leak for Grand Theft Auto VI reveals technical data for Xbox Series X version: via website NEWXBOXONE.RU

Grand Theft Auto VI leaks continue to emerge, and new information reveals technical details about the Xbox Series X version of the project. Microsoft PIX analyzer materials related to the Scarlett Anaconda (Xbox Series X) development kit have leaked online. They introduced how the RAGE engine works and low-level optimization of the project.

The most interesting aspect of the leak relates to the identification of individual engine systems. It’s worth noting that this data relates to a specific performance capture, so no conclusions can be drawn from this data about the final resolution or frame rate in GTA 6 for Xbox Series X. In addition, a performance snapshot created on July 21 was also leaked. It recorded approximately 1.45 million rendering events at a GPU speed of 1825 MHz.

Key technical information leaked:

  • Analyzing AMD GPUs. PIX data shows the parameters of AMD GPU computing resources, including Wave Size 64, 54 SGPR and 24 VGPR. There is also AMD compiler data showing low-level optimization efforts in the console graphics code.
  • Cluster lighting. RAGE uses the Light Clusters Volumetric, LocalLightBins, and LIGHT_CLUSTER_DEPTH systems. They allow you to distribute light sources into spatial clusters and handle scenes with large amounts of lighting more efficiently.
  • Separate water treatment. The calculation channels CS_Classification_Water, Water_Surface_Depth and Water_Surface_Foam were detected in the PIX. These involve surface classification, depth and foam calculations, and post-processing of water feature lighting.
  • Complex automotive materials. sunBleach, sunBleachRoughness, primerFilter and rustStartAndRange are in the transport shader. Experts correlate these parameters with the visual effects of paint burnout, changes in coating roughness, primer and corrosion. But at the same time, the leak itself does not prove the existence of complete dynamic aging of the machine.
  • Window tinting. The windowTintAbduction parameter specifies separate treatment of light absorption for tinted glass. This allows you to consider the effect of tint on interior visibility and the interaction of light with the car’s materials.

Note that Rockstar has yet to confirm the leak. Meanwhile, the new data doesn’t apply to the author, who has been actively leaking Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay over the past few days.
