The Starlink communication satellite constellation in orbit has reached 11,000 devices. report On social network X, SpaceX chief Elon Musk. No satellite provider in the world comes close to this metric.

According to the KeepTrack catalog, as of July 2026, the five largest vehicle groups in low Earth orbit are distributed as follows:
- Starlink – 10,783 satellites;
- OneWeb – 654;
- Amazonian Leo (Kuiper) — 394;
- Qianfan — 238;
- Guowang — 186.
Starlink accounts for more than half of the 19,447 payloads in Earth orbit, more than five times the number of the other ten constellations combined. Since May 2019, SpaceX has launched 12,444 Starlink satellites, of which approximately 1,660 have deorbited and burned up in the atmosphere. In other words, SpaceX has deorbited more satellites than second-place OneWeb has launched. Two to three Starlink missions are launched into orbit every week.
Amazon Leo ranked third. The first-generation constellation should consist of 3,236 satellites, with permission to deploy an additional 4,500 satellites. Amazon originally planned to deploy 1,600 devices by July 2026, but failed to meet the deadline and asked for an extension to 2028. The company’s chief executive, Andy Jassy, told investors in a quarterly financial report that a constellation of nearly 400 satellites was enough to begin providing basic services. Meanwhile, Starlink’s customer base has exceeded 12 million subscribers.
