The studio’s new sci-fi sandbox MMORPG project Stars Reach playable world Industry veteran Raf Koster is going through a difficult time after entering Steam Early Access. Despite being warmly received by loyal fans of the classic sandbox game, the game’s launch was marred by mixed player reviews and rough technology.
The development team promptly released emergency fixes aimed at resolving endless maintenance waits, rubberbanding, and failures to generate objects in the world. This update also affects the balance of crafting, resource gathering, repair kits, and fixes to the experience accumulation system on starting instances of Haven and Crucible.
Although online peaks are expected to decline after the first day of release, the creators are still actively working on improving the open-world simulation and filling it with content.
