Let us remind you that since August 18th the activist/group Cyberleek has made 10 gameplay clips of GTA VI available to the public. There has been no official comment on the incident, but Rockstar Games is said to be rioting.
According to Vermeil, the gaming community should calm down: “The leak was nothing. All that happened was a few frames dropped. Just before the Netflix incident [этой неделе]».
“GTA VI” will have an extended screening on August 27, exclusively broadcast on Netflix, with a running time of 6 hours.
Vermeil is confident that 90 percent of gamers won’t search the Internet for footage of the game because they’re short on time or worried about spoilers, and Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive are a little annoyed by this. Experts have something to compare to.
“I was there during Hot Coffee. It was a nightmare for management (Rockstar New York), but it had very little impact on us (Rockstar North). The leaks so far are bigger than [Hot Coffee]»”, Vermeer made an analogy.
Hot Coffee situation leads to Take-Two class action lawsuit and millions of dollars in damages
For those who don’t remember, Hot Coffee is a mod for GTA: San Andreas. The game was released shortly after it launched on PC and unlocked porn content hidden in code that the developers were considering adding.
GTA VI will be released on November 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X, and S, with prices ranging from $80 to $100. Vermeer believed that this game “Will be released in the next 15 years, the leak is just a small point” on the canvas of her success.
