The boxed version of Grand Theft Auto VI only contains a download code and no disc, which has attracted a lot of criticism. Activision is apparently taking a similar approach with its upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 – at least on the Nintendo Switch 2.

As a result, the US retailer doesn’t include the Switch 2 version of the shooter in its range, nor does it sell it as a boxed version. “We believe physical games should be physical games,” the dealer explained.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 23, 2026.
