MMORPG Corepunk has released a major update, the main highlight of which is a new open-world mechanic called War. Up to a dozen hidden capture points from hundreds of possible locations begin to appear randomly on the map – they are not revealed in advance and are only visible when the player approaches.
To gain points, the user (or their group) must hold territory while fighting off increasingly powerful enemies and rival players trying to disrupt the capture.
Successful capture unlocks valuable bronze, silver and gold chests, as well as earning war points for special leaderboards. Additionally, the patch brings an item and skill tagging system, class balance changes, improved biological AI, interface improvements, and localization fixes to the game.
