Nexon Games has officially announced that the project, formerly known as Project RX, has been renamed Fareidolia. To commemorate the event, the developer has also unveiled new illustrations depicting the game’s characters.

Kim Yong Ha, who founded Blue Archive, is responsible for the development of Fareidolia. The project is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, and Nexon Games has previously described Project RX as a 3D game designed as an alternate world where players can live with cute anime girls.

While details about Fareidolia are scarce, what is known is that the game will have to release on PC and consoles, as well as mobile devices. All those eager to learn more about Fareidolia should be patient. Nexon Games has promised to fully reveal the game this fall at the Tokyo Game Show 2026, which will take place in late September.
