Fans of the Persona series will be able to purchase a physical copy of Persona 6 for PS5, despite Sony announcing plans to stop retailing its games. Sega has confirmed that Atlus will sell them.
Although players have long known that Persona 6 was in development, Atlus didn’t officially announce the news until the 2026 Summer Game Festival. A brief trailer appeared during the Xbox presentation. He confirmed that the game is in development, will feature a green color scheme, and will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on launch day.
We may be seeing more news about Persona 6 soon. Gamescom 2026 takes place this week. There is also the Tokyo Game Show 2026, which will be held in Japan from September 17 to 21, 2026. We still don’t know what the protagonist of Atlus’ new JRPG series will look like, what the plot will be like, and how the gameplay will change.
