Netmarble has announced a major update for open-world anime RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins. This update adds a new playable character, Ban, who is the latest member of the Seven Deadly Sins squad to appear in the game. The character, known as “Greedy Fox Sin,” possesses immortality and extraordinary physical abilities. In combat, he can use nunchucks, a two-handed sword, and brass knuckles.
The plot will continue in Act 16. Players will travel to Raven, a lawless city where crime and theft are rampant. As new chapters are released, so will the weekly maze mode. Heroes can be used regardless of their level of development.
Another innovation will be the “Beyond” equipment development system. A new boss, Indura Monspit, will appear in Beyond difficulty. The developers have also prepared changes for new and returning players. After completing the training, the popular SSR hero Meliodas is guaranteed to be produced in the first summons. Players who have completed the tutorial will receive it immediately after logging into the game.
Along with the release of the update, there’s a holiday to mark the game’s six months. As part of the “Greed Ball Spin” event, the developers will be giving away a total of 500 million star shards. In-game currency can be earned by completing special tasks and then used to participate in events. The reward can be up to 30,000 star fragments at one time.
The first half-anniversary voting event will also last until September 2. Players can choose three heroes from among the characters that have appeared in the banner since launch. One of the chosen heroes will be able to receive an additional vote, increasing the total to four votes. The three characters with the most votes will be included in the special holiday summons list for the second part of the update, scheduled for September 16th.
