Once Human has released a major update in preparation for the launch of the console version of the game. The update was installed on August 25, and comes with the start of the global event Global Heat, along with new rewards, achievements and massive changes to the first-person mode.
The main activity is “Global Popularity”, where players from all platforms work together to earn popularity points and unlock rewards. These include Starchrom, Stardust Secret Box, exclusive Fire Dino vehicle skin and other items. There are also daily login rewards, surprise easter egg promotions for inviting friends, and updated friend gathering activities. Returning players will be able to receive a separate bundle that includes a store coupon, a blueprint for the legendary weapon of their choice, and a container to receive the partition.
A new achievement system with 35 trophies has been added to the game on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam and Google Play. In this case, progress recording will only start after the update is installed, so previously completed conditions will not be automatically calculated. The functionality of the first-person perspective has also been significantly expanded: now you can explore underwater areas, plan from above, use the abilities of certain sectors and engage in close combat. The developers have also improved animations, camera shake, and climbing mechanics, and the on-screen position of weapon models can be changed in the settings.
The clothing coloring system has been seriously redesigned. Now you pay by assembly rather than individual parts, allowing for more freedom in color combinations. The cost of full dyeing has been reduced by approximately 60%, and players using the old system will automatically receive 60% of the currency spent back. Additionally, a limited-time Lightforge loot box “Celestial Hymn” bundle has appeared in the store, which contains the legendary Cosmic Hymn outfit, Spear Knight furniture recipes, and new skins for vehicles and deviations. The console version of “Once Human” was released on August 25, supporting cross-platform sharing of progress after account linking.
