The news that there will be no official Russian dubbing for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s upcoming story add-on “Song of the Past” has excited the community. While studios like GamesVoice hinted at the possibility of creating unofficial localized versions of the popular game, things took an unexpected and unpleasant turn for fans.
According to reports on social networks, Geralt’s permanent voice actor Vsevolod Kuznetsov has declined to participate in a potential unofficial dubbing of the DLC.

I think not creating a Russian version is a wrong position. Art, this game, the Witcher universe, the Russian language itself – all of this unites people and makes them better, nobler people.
Anytime, under any circumstances.
However, I will not be involved in any pirated dubbing work. This is already my position.
You must respect the decision of the creator of the work, even if you disagree with it.
Please note that additions are in progress. A Russian version is currently not expected. This doesn’t mean that an official Russian version won’t be made in the future.
