Subsequently, the Russian studio GamesVoice clearly hinted that it would provide professional Russian dubbing for “Song of the Past”: “The Russian dub hasn’t been officially announced yet. But that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.”.
Kuznetsov says CDPR’s stance on the official Russian dub of “The Ballad of the Past” is wrong because “The art, the game, the Witcher universe, the Russian language itself – all of this unites people and makes them better and nobler”.
Despite this, Kuznetsov will not participate in the pirated dubbing: “You have to respect the decision of the creator of the work, even if you don’t agree with it.<...>If you had to choose between one evil and another, I wouldn’t choose it at all. “.

Ballads of the Past will be released on PC in 2027 (steam, GOG, EGS, Battle.net), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The add-on is made by Fool’s Theory, a studio founded by CDPR folks that is also working on the remake of the first Witcher.
