Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that Playground Games’ Fable would be released in the fall. But as early as May, it was known that the release of the project had been postponed to 2027, and the developers subsequently announced the exact release date of the game – February 23, 2027. Gamescom showed many gameplay features of Fable, and the developer also revealed many details. Project director Ralph Fulton admitted that due to the large number of major releases in the fall, they have delayed the game until 2027.
precious Character Fulton said the Fable team is planning an October release. However, this fall seems too busy for major new products. Many studios and publishers have moved their games from November to September and October to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI, but there are also a number of Xbox games on the release list – Minecraft Dungeons II, Gears of War: E-Day, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
I think the reason why we delayed the October release, which was the previously planned release date, is clear to everyone. I’m very happy about this. I mean I’m really looking forward to this game being released this year. I didn’t want to have to give the team the “this is the year Fable comes out” speech again on January 1st, but now I have to. But the reasons for this decision are absolutely sound. I’m glad we managed to avoid this chaotic period.
Let us remind you that the first DLC for Fable has been released, titled Order of Heroes. With it, a new area will appear in the game, as well as the opportunity to lead a cult.
