Archetype Entertainment studio announced the release date of its first game, Exodus, at Gamescom. The project will be released on April 7, 2027 on Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5 and PC. At the same time, the information in the store has also been updated, and confirmation of Russian language availability appeared immediately after launch.
On the Exodus game’s Steam and Microsoft Store, the developers said the game will receive translations into 10 languages since launch. The dub is only available in English and Russian subtitle formats.
Many are comparing Exodus to Mass Effect – a massive sci-fi adventure that involves travel between worlds and a greater emphasis on characters, partners and player decision-making. The project’s gameplay combines planetary exploration, third-person shooting, dialogue, and RPG elements. Players will have to explore different worlds, find resources and technology, fight opponents and make decisions that may affect the further development of history.
“Exodus” will debut at The Game Awards in December 2023. Founded in 2019, Archetype Entertainment is a division of Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast. It was founded by BioWare veteran James Ohlen, and the team also includes many other experienced developers from BioWare, Naughty Dog, 343 Industries, and Blizzard.
