At gamescom 2026, CD Projekt RED showed off gameplay for the free remaster of role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, including battles with bandits, battles with the demon Morvudd, and updated assist menus.
In the latest trailer, the developers showed off the new features of Comfort Access in version 5.00. Players will have access to accelerated health regeneration, an endless supply of air underwater, protection against wear and tear on weapons and armor, and indestructible ships. Additionally, the game will offer the option to ignore inventory weight and the long-awaited feature of automatically collecting loot from defeated enemies.
These improvements will complement the massive update, which will also bring improved graphics, ray tracing, a redesigned combat system, and easier cockroach controls. The update will be distributed free to all owners of the original project upon release on September 29th.
