AOC has launched the 27-inch Agon AGP277KXM gaming monitor for the Chinese market. The new product is built on the Fast IPS matrix and offers two operating modes: 5K at 180 Hz refresh rate and 1440p at 360 Hz refresh rate.

The display uses quantum dot technology and Mini-LED backlighting with 2304 local dimming zones. This panel is VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certified and has a brightness of up to 1600 cd/m22 In HDR mode. AOC claims a static contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a GtG response time of 0.5ms.
In 5K resolution mode, this panel has a pixel density of approximately 218 PPI. The second display mode drops the resolution to QHD but doubles the maximum refresh rate to 360Hz, allowing users to choose between higher pixel density and higher refresh rates.
The monitor also claims 98% DCI-P3 color space coverage and 98% Adobe RGB coverage. Color accuracy is DeltaE < 1. Agon AGP277KXM supports adaptive refresh rate and MBR blur reduction functions.
This monitor is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 FRL6 and DisplayPort 2.1 ports, supporting UHBR20. There’s also USB-C with DisplayPort mode and charging power up to 65W, three USB-A ports (5 Gbps), a USB upstream connector, and a 3.5mm audio output. Additionally, the manufacturer claims that the new product supports KVM switching, Light FX backlighting, a retractable headphone stand, and a stand with adjustable height, tilt, swivel, and rotation.
AOC has not yet announced the price of the Agon AGP277KXM monitor, nor confirmed its availability outside of China.
