Publisher Capcom has released a number of highly rated games this year – “Resident Evil Requiem”, “Monster Hunter Story 3: Twisted Reflection”, “Pragmata”, etc. Their biggest fall release is Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which will be released on September 4th. Critics rated her today.
Currently, “Onimusha: Kendo” has a score of 85 out of 100 on Opencritic.

Critics in their reviews praised the new installment of Onimusha for its combat system and for retaining the atmosphere of classic parts of the series. But there are some disadvantages.
Excellent combat system, full of dynamic and intense fencing, parrying and counterattacks. It is especially strong during boss fights.
Engaging plot and charming characters. The protagonist and his story were highly praised by critics.
The atmosphere of classic Onimusha is retained, while the game also gets a modern visual presentation and impressive cutscenes.
The game requires no knowledge of the previous installments while still continuing the series’ legacy well.
There’s an incentive to replay the game thanks to higher difficulty levels and New Game+ mode.
Regular enemies are noticeably inferior to bosses and act too passively at times, which is why the combat system isn’t fully revealed.
The additional exploration of locations and side missions isn’t as interesting as the main story.
There are puzzles in the game, but they’re few and far between, and some weren’t interesting enough for critics.
Critics argue that many of the annoying shortcomings can be avoided. Like minor issues in the interface or not the best training.
Note that trying Onimusha: Kendo on Xbox Series X | S is possible in the demo.
