Most of the staff at Bit Reactor, the studio that released Star Wars Zero, Inc. Tactics and led by former XCOM art director Greg Foertsch, are not getting paid.

Let us remind you that Star Wars Zero Inc. releases on PC on August 27 (steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The game received high praise from critics, attracted 77,000 people on Steam at its peak, and reached the top ten bestseller Serve.
according to game files Citing court documents from Bit Reactor co-founder Alison Kelly suing the studio, most employees were placed on unpaid leave weeks before Company Zero was released.

A representative for Bit Reactor confirmed it was placing employees on unpaid leave (the exact size of which was not specified), stressing that the decision rested entirely with the studio, not the publisher (Electronic Arts) or rights holder (Disney).
According to Game File sources, the situation affects up to 80% of the studio’s employees. Bit Reactor currently only has a core team left to work on post-launch updates for Star Wars Zero Corporation.

Bit Reactor management is believed to have squandered most of its available funds in the lead-up to Star Wars Zero Inc.’s release and is now trying to stay afloat with a percentage of expected game sales.
Bit Reactor assured that if Star Wars Zero Company is a success, the studio expects to reinstate the wages of employees affected by the decision, but holidaymakers themselves will inevitably doubt their returns.
