ROCKFISH Games has released a major technical update for the space action game “EVERSPACE 2”, which will be the last planned patch for the game. Players can already download the game on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2 where the game will be released on August 12, 2026.
The update was created while the Nintendo Switch 2 version was in development, so other platforms have now received some optimizations and fixes. Developers specifically pointed to Xbox Series S performance improvements. Additionally, the patch contains a number of bug fixes, improvements to QoL elements, and minor changes based on community wishes.
The developer also pointed out that the PC version has been officially verified by Steam Deck. To achieve this, we’ve made interface changes that will make the controls and text on the Steam Deck screen easier to read.
Studio CEO and co-founder Michael Schade said the team will now turn its attention to future projects, which will be the development of the EVERSPACE series. The developers are allowed to release individual patches and some console-specific changes, but you shouldn’t expect new major updates for EVERSPACE 2.
