Acer has launched the Swift Blade 14 laptop, which weighs only 799 grams. The thickness of the device is 12.9 mm with the IPS panel and increases to 13.5 mm with the OLED display. To reduce the weight of the laptop, developers used a body made of magnesium-aluminum alloy and carbon fiber.

The hardware foundation of Sift Blade 14 is Intel Core Series 3 processors, including Core 7 350, Core 5 320, Core 5 315 and Core 3 304, all equipped with integrated graphics cards. This configuration also comes with 12 GB LPDDR5-6400 RAM and a PCIe Gen4 NVMe hard drive with up to 1 TB capacity.
Acer is offering three 14-inch display options for its new laptops. At the highest configuration, this machine is equipped with an OLED panel with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels, an update rate of 90Hz, a brightness of 400cd/m², and 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage. There is also an OLED display option that supports 1920 × 1200 pixel resolution and 60 Hz frequency. In addition to this, there is also a model with an IPS panel with the same resolution and a peak brightness of 300 cd/m². All three options have an aspect ratio of 16:10.
Despite its light weight, Acer has equipped the laptop with a 50 Wh battery. There are three USB Type-C ports, two of which support functions other than data transfer. Built-in Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 adapters are responsible for wireless connections; it is equipped with a 1080p camera with a mechanical shutter for video calls. The audio subsystem includes two 2W speakers.
Acer plans to start selling the Swift Blade 14 and the larger Swift Air 16 this December. Retail prices for the new products will be announced closer to the start of sales.
