Leaders at BULKHEAD Studio, the studio responsible for developing the massive project WARDOGS, share their reasons for creating their own gaming showcase, the FPS Games Show, taking place on September 3rd. CEO Joe Brammer said that traditional large-scale exhibitions like Summer Game Fest cost independent teams hundreds of thousands of dollars per minute of broadcast time. Developers consider this pricing policy unfair and ineffective because the target audience is vague compared to other types of projects.
As an alternative, the author of WARDOGS has organized a completely free live stream dedicated to first-person shooters. The initiative has generated a strong response in the industry: creators of famous games such as Escape from Tarkov, Rainbow Six: Siege, Gray Zone War and Hell Unleashed: Vietnam have already joined the show.
Organizers hope the new event’s centralized format will allow studios to effectively and cost-effectively showcase their new products to an interested audience.
