Ubisoft Toronto’s ambitious remaster of its iconic stealth action game Splinter Cell (Watch Dogs: Legion, Far Cry 6) has been unveiled for the first time in nearly five years since it was announced. At least unofficially.

Edit Portal MP1 computer I discovered some screenshots from an early version of the Splinter Cell remake in the portfolio of an (unspecified) developer working on the Splinter Cell remake. The images date back to at least 2024.

These images showcase the environmental elements that await players in the first level of Georgia. In the story, Third Echelon agent Sam Fisher travels to Tbilisi to investigate the disappearance of two CIA agents.

The screenshots also provide an updated (and likely not final) design for Splinter Cell’s main villain, Georgian President Kombayan Nikoladze. The politician’s image appeared on propaganda posters.

MP1st reporter also shared a screenshot of the Russian-language in-game annotation, which, as Ubisoft Toronto developers assure, contains nothing interesting: “Go and play, don’t waste time!”

It has been previously reported that the Splinter Cell remake is being made from scratch using the Snowdrop engine (Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier, Star Wars Desperados) and will include non-linear locations and rewritten content. “Aimed at a modern audience” conspiracy

Splinter Cell is rumored to be getting reimagined. ‘Extremely fragile situation’ The estimated time is from April to December 2027. The game is expected to be linear and feature more non-lethal options as well as destructible environments.
