A month after the release of MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls, the fighting game developer from Arc System Works, SIE, and Marvel Games released a trailer complete with ratings and review quotes. Like these: “The most exciting fighting game ever Street Fighter 6».
Most publications, including big-name ones, have given the fight against guys in tights and raincoats pretty high marks, and regular gamers agree with them: On Metacritic, MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls has a score of 85/8.1. This is very much in line with the 4.36 score on the PlayStation Store.
But the game’s rating on Steam was a mixed 48% – the PC version turned into a technical disaster that the Japanese developers failed to cope with. By the way, MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls wasn’t a success in its home country either: in its first week, retailers didn’t even sell three thousand copies, which was the worst result for a major fighting game from Arc System Works.
