My Arcade has confirmed that the Gamestation Retro Go handheld console will be available in October this year. Pre-orders have been opened at major retailers including GameStop. The release date is October 31st and will sell for $199.
The device features a large design reminiscent of modern portable systems, and features a high-quality 8-inch high-resolution screen, a built-in battery, and a slightly updated control layout.
A major feature of this new product is the official collaboration between two industry giants, Capcom and Bandai Namco. Classic popular games such as “Street Fighter 2”, “Pac-Man” and “Mega Man” are officially combined on one device for the first time in many years, rather than being separated into separate versions. Buyers can also look forward to a desktop version of the Gamestation Retro Pro that supports 1080p image output and a desktop arcade version of the Gamestation Retro Mega that comes with a wooden box and mechanical controllers.
