CD Projekt RED has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will remain compatible with older versions. Players will be able to continue playing right where they left off, and previously earned achievements will be transferred to the updated version.
In this case, their progress will be reset due to changes in skills and settings, but points can be redistributed immediately after launch. The remaster will also get updated graphics, improved combat system, action and parkour.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will be released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 29th. The update will be free for game owners on eligible platforms.
